About Department of Law
The department of Law, Stamford University Bangladesh was established with the vision to becoming the leading center for excellence in teaching, learning and research disseminating knowledge through updated curricula and inculcating 21st century skills into the graduates who will be able to contribute to the sustainable development by promoting rule of law, administration of justice, legal framework, State administrating system, and ethical responsibility from the guideline of core law books. This Department offers both Bachelor of Laws (LLB) four (04) years and Master of Laws (LLM) programs. The Department offers courses on law, ethics, rights and duties, gender studies and general education using a mixed method of teaching learning strategy.
The learners are expected to cope with the modern competitive world with their high quality and demonstrate their knowledge as well as accept the challenges. The Department engages students in co-curricular activities so that they can turn out to be conscious, creative, and critical thinkers and can implement their achieved knowledge in every sphere of life. Department of Law enriches the learners’ knowledge in research activities and facilities to practice intellectual activities in the making a nation. The potential job opportunities are observed at renowned national organizations and institutions, such as Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS), Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS),Bangladesh Police and in Court as legal professional, Banking sector, Multinational companies, Research organizations, RMG sector, News agencies etc.

Department of law of Stamford University Bangladesh combines genuine excellence and wonderful diversity on a scale that is unmatched in the country. Stamford Law School has immensely contributed in the advancement of legal education of Bangladesh. The unique strength of our department is that it brings together, from around the country, so many exceptionally talented people of different backgrounds, experiences, interests, ambitions, approaches, methodologies and perspectives. In Stamford Law School, our differences and diversities are sources of strength that we nurture and flourish. It makes us an exhilarating and productive legal fraternity in which the learners enjoy to study, to teach, to write, to debate, to explore, to question, to innovate, to litigate, to advocate and to pursue the highest ideals of law and justice.
We have a good number of courses, which suffice the domestic and international needs. We provide a large and diverse array of outstanding teaching-learning modules, in-depth student research activities and other extra-curricular activities. Our strength is 25 full time faculties and some internationally acclaimed guest faculties who are dedicated to teach, train and educate the young learners and prepare them to achieve their dream.
The department has produced a strong alumni base in long 18 years who have been serving the nation with their knowledge. prudence and excellence in different services and professions which include renowned lawyers, judges, university teachers, researchers, law-enforcement officers, civil servants, NGO activists, bankers and many other professions.
